With SFA's Senior Fitness Instructor, Full (Professional) Certification training package, you will earn the most widely recognized, senior specific, fitness credential available.
SFA's "Senior Fitness Instructor" educational program is specially designed for those who plan to lead active older adults in safe, effective and fun group exercise programs in health clubs, recreation departments, YMCAs, JCCs, community wellness programs etc.
The "Full (Professional) Certification" training package is designed to meet or exceed the "International Curriculum Guidelines for Preparing Physical Activity Instructors of Older Adults" and the "Recommended National Standards for Preparing Senior Fitness Instructors."
Your Full Certification program will include all of the resources contained in Part One, Part Two and Certificate of Completion:

It also contains a complete iinformation and instructions manual. Your SFA certification examination fee, related processing fees and professional membership in the American Senior Fitness Association are also included.
Successful completion of the Senior Fitness Instructor, Certification program requires sitting for a closed book, proctored examination. You are also required to have current CPR and Basic 1st Aid certification.
Upon successful completion of the program, you will earn an internationally recognized professional credential as an American Senior Fitness Association certified, Senior Fitness Instructor.
Your SFA certification is valid for two years and can be renewed by earning 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) of approved continuing education and maintaining valid CPR and Basic 1st Aid certification. A $35.00 renewal fee applies.
NOTE: Your professional certification program contains a set of the resources to enable you to complete the Part One and Part Two open book tests. These tests can be completed whenever suits your schedule and are accepted by most fitness organizations for up to 25 hours (2.5 CEUs) continuing education credit.
